ABOUT ME
Well, my name is Erkan Dogantimur and I was born in 1987. I live in Sweden in a town called Gävle which is located about 2 hours north of Stockholm. I am a bit of an artistic person, thus I create and play music and I also do some graphical stuff. I started playing the drums when I was 14 and later on I started picking up the guitar and taught myself how to play that as well. Now that I have been creating music by myself for a while, I have gotten the chance to learn how to play the keyboard too. It's always good to be a multi instrumentalist!
During the summer of 2008, I recorded my first solo project which consisted of 5 instrumental songs. During that time, I learned incredibly a lot about the art of recording and mixing music, and I'm quite satisfied with how my very first project turned out. You can listen to it in the Portfolio section. A BIG thank you goes out to everyone over at the Andy Sneap forum for sharing information and teaching us newbies in the art of recording.
As I mentioned, I also do some graphical stuff and I have spent three years learning 3D graphics at the University of Gävle. Naturally, when you have two major hobbies such as music and graphical art, it is not unusual to find yourself in a rollercoaster-like situation. Everything goes up and down, up and down. One day you wake up with this burning urge to write a new song and the next day you have no inspiration at all for this new song but instead you have this really cool idea of an image you want to create. Anyway, I have also tried to teach myself how to properly draw and paint in Photoshop and there is an image you can look at over at the Portfolio section.
